Production and commerce of salted fish products during Antiquity Rome, École française de Rome, Piazza Navona, British School at Rome
The Ecole française de Rome, in collaboration with the Oxford Roman Economy Project (University of Oxford) and the Centre Camille Jullian (Aix-en-Provence), are organising a multi-disciplinary doctoral workshop in Rome, from 18 to 22 June 2012. The workshop, which lasts 5 days, brings together specialists and doctoral students/post-doctoral researchers working on the production and trade of salted fish products (salted fish, sauces and other fish products) during Antiquity. The aim of this workshop is to give the participants the opportunity to hear from the experts about the state of the question as well as to share their own research ideas about the evolution of salted-fish industry and trade across the ancient Mediterranean and along the Atlantic coast.
