Dancing backwards through time: subverting Baroque and Roman architecture
Wednesday 9 March 2016 18.00-19.30
A talk by Liz Rideal (UCL, The Slade School of Fine Art)
Liz Rideal was Wingate Scholar at the BSR in 2008–9 when she developed work in film and photography exploring Borromini’s architectural space as a foil to bursts of coloured floating silks.
The lecture will focus on artwork made in Rome and elsewhere, touching on ideas about approaches to different architectural structures and ways of revealing their secrets through exposure to performance and projected film.
