The G. E. Rickman Memorial Fund

Professor Geoffrey E. Rickman began his distinguished career whilst living at The British School at Rome as a Fellow in 1957. He remained devoted to the School, returning frequently as a scholar, and was elected Chairman of the BSR Council from 1997 to 2002, during which time he played an invaluable role in securing the vision of the School’s future.

This fund was established in 2010 to honour this extraordinary man, and supports scholars and lectures in Professor Rickman’s own field of the archaeology and history of the Roman Mediterranean.

If you are interested in making a contribution to the Rickman Fund, please use the Give Now button on the right and be sure to designate your gift.
