Simon Keay elected to Scientific Committee for the Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica for a period of five years
Professor Simon Keay, BSR Research Professor in Archaeology, has been elected by the Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e del Turismo to the scientific committee for the Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica. Formed in December 2017, the committee, led by the Director of the park, Dott.ssa Mariarosaria Barbera will advise on the scientific programme of the newly formed park.
Director of the Portus Project and the ERC Advanced Grant Project Portuslimen (RoMP), Simon has conducted research projects at Portus and Ostia since 1997 with several important publications. This week the BSR will also host the fourth workshop about the results of the ongoing Ports project.
