North Africa and the Punic Project
This joint research project with the Society for Libyan Studies, directed by Josephine Crawley Quinn with Simon Keay and Andrew Wilson, has organised a series of panels and workshops on Phoenician and Punic history, culture and connections, particularly in the Western Mediterranean.
Papers arising from the project are published in the Papers of the British School at Rome 2009 and the Bolletino di Archaeologia Online, as well as in a collection of essays from a conference on “Identifying the Punic Mediterranean” held at the BSR in November 2008, which is currently being edited by Josephine Crawley Quinn and Nicholas Vella.
