Non-residential scholars
Non-residents are very welcome at the British School at Rome Library
A Library Membership scheme is available to scholars wishing to use the BSR Library and Archive
Library Membership gives access to the Library during opening hours 9.00-18.45 Monday to Friday until the 28 reserved desks are occupied
To become a Library Member
Application should be made in person and you will need to bring:
- a letter of introduction from your university or academic institution
- if applicable, confirmation of residency in another foreign academy in Rome
- passport-size photograph
- passport / proof of identity
There are 2 categories of Library Membership:
Annual : 30 euro
Monthly: 10 euro
This fee is waived if you are resident at one of the other foreign academies in Rome
BSR Members receive free Library Membership on confirmation of their status
