Book launch: 'Whatever happened to Italian architecture?' by Francesco Garofalo
On Monday 28 November, the BSR will host a book launch for the volume Whatever happened to Italian architecture? by the late Francesco Garofalo (1956–2016).
Francesco was a great friend of the BSR and we were saddened to hear of his passing earlier this year. His wife and architect partner Sharon Yoshie Miura, who has organised this event, continues to support the BSR and its activities. Francesco and Sharon were responsible for the Sainsbury Lecture Theatre and gallery extension of the BSR completed in 2002.
The event will run from 18.00 to 19.30 and will feature six speakers as follows:
Aldo Aymonino, Università Iuav di Venezia (moderator)
George Baird, University of Toronto e Harvard University
Alessandra Capuano, Sapienza Università di Roma
Pippo Ciorra, Università di Camerino
Mario Lupano, Università Iuav di Venezia
Lorenzo Pignatti, Università G. D’Annunzio di Chieti-Pescara
