Roman Towns: Baccanas

small logo

This Roman road-station, founded in the Augustan period, was surveyed in 2002 using geophysical and topographical survey, with the aim of extending knowledge beyond what was known from excavation. The survey clarified the nature of archaeological remains in the area, as well as demonstrating the importance of an integrated survey strategy.
