| Sophie Hay | |
Sophie Hay (BA, MA) is a Geophysical Researcher for the Archaeological Prospection Services of Southampton. She has project managed surveys in Italy in collaboration with the British School at Rome. These have included geophysical and topographical investigations of the sites for the Roman Towns Project such as Otricoli, Portus, Fallerii Novi and Fregellae as well as for other research projects at Sentinum, Potentza, Teano, Falacrinae, San Felice, Calatia, Mondragone, Brutti Praesentes and Villa Magna. |

Before starting work at Southampton, she worked for the British School at Rome at Pompeii, Insula IX, Region 1 where she was the site director for archaeological recording, as well as supervising excavations. She also worked at San Vincenzo, supervising excavation. Her excavation work has taken her to locations such as Belize, Libya and Albania. She is currently studying for a PhD at the University of Southampton. |

| Stephen Kay | |
Stephen Kay (BA, MSc) has been working for several years as a Geophysical Researcher for the British School at Rome. He graduated from the University of Durham (1995-1998) and then specialised with a Masters at the University of Southampton (1999-2000). He has managed many surveys and projects through out Italy and has a built up a wide experience of survey across many types of site. He currently supervises the School’s excavation at the site of Falacrinae on the behalf of Dr Helen Patterson (BSR Research Fellow) and Professor Filippo Coarelli, as well as undertaking the topographical work for the Archaeology Director’s Portus Project. |

Stephen worked for the School as an Archaeology Research Assistant from 1998-1999, participating in the Tiber Valley Project. Since then he has worked as a freelance GIS consultant in Italy, collaborating amongst others with the Rome City Council and the Sopritendenza of Rome. Over the past few years he has been working together with the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage on the Archeomar project, a GIS register of all underwater archaeological sites in Southern Italy. He is currently studying for a PhD at Kings College London. |

| Kristian Strutt | |
| Kristian Strutt (BA, MA) specialises in archaeological mapping and geophysical survey. He is the director of the Archaeological Prospection Services of Southampton unit, and is also responsible for carrying out research survey work and applied archaeological geophysics. He has worked on survey and fieldwork for the San Vincenzo Project, Ostia Antica, Puglia, Veii and the Colle Oppio in Rome, as well as fieldwork in Northumberland. He is currently involved in the Three Valleys Survey Project in Hampshire, together with the Leffinge Survey Project based near Ostend in Flanders, Belgium and the Mougon Survey Project in the Loire Valley, France. |

| He previously worked for the British School at Rome, particularly as part of the major research initiative, the Tiber Valley Project. He is the director of geophysical survey for the investigations of the Claudian and Trajanic harbours at Portus, Lazio for the British School at Rome’s Portus Project. | |
| Gregory Tucker | |
Gregory Tucker (BA, MA) is a Geophysical Research Assistant at the British School at Rome. He received his BA in Classical Studies from the University of Florida and his MA in Maritime Archaeology from the University of Southampton. Field work, both excavating and surveying, has taken him throughout Europe and as far as California, including Ostia, Pompeii, Porolissum, Portus, and Tarragona. Gregory's research interests include Roman ideology and statements of power through public construction, the development of ports in the Imperial period, the influence of foreigners in Roman society and culture, and the use of technology in survey and site recording. |
