Subscribers form the basis of the BSR’s support system. Their support remains crucial, not only financially, but because they are the group with which the School can most swiftly communicate, and to which it can respond in order best to serve its constituency.
Subscribers receive the following benefits:
Individual Basic Subscribers £30 per annum:
- receive the Annual Report
- receive discounts on BSR publications
- can reserve accommodation (subject to availability)
- can request assistance in securing permission to visit sites
- can attend subscriber events in the UK or Rome.
Individual Full Subscribers £50 per annum:
- in addition receive our annual research journal, Papers of the British School at Rome.
Subscribing Institutions £120 per annum:
- receive the Annual Report
- receive a copy of the Papers free of charge, if a Commonwealth institution, and discounts on other BSR publications
- can seek assistance in securing permissions for group visits
- can make residential bookings for groups.
Institutional subscriptions may be taken out at the level appropriate to use, by Department, Faculty, College or University. Non-collegiate universities may subscribe on behalf of one or more departments, and retain the Papers for the University Library, unless several departments anticipate particularly heavy use of facilities. Colleges and Faculties in Cambridge, London and Oxford should subscribe individually.
Those who wish to contribute more generously may do so as Friends (min £100 p.a.) or Life subscribers (£1,000 one-off payment).
Subscription enquiries and requests for subscription forms should be sent to the Subscriptions Secretary . Alternatively you can download the subscription form, Direct Debit renewal form and Direct Debit instruction here.
